STDs don't "disappear with time". Some are healed with medication. Others have symptoms that are masked by medication but still exist. Others can kill you.
Is the Clare Booth Luce Policy Institute owned by the big pharm company that makes Gardasil? Besides being condescending and insulting to young women, they're chock full'o'mis-information.
