Saving Yourself for that Special Porn Gig

One of our Facebook fans recently alerted us to this story in Adult Video News about porn actress Mallory Rae Murphy. She says she lost her virginity (as in, had a penis inside her for the first time) on-camera in her first adult flick. With co-star, porn veteran Evan Stone, who Mallory hand-picked from a folder of 'talent,' she shot the still-in-the-works film back in July.

We were mighty suspicious of this story, given that we've never heard of anyone really losing it on camera. So we consulted our favorite porn expert Gram Ponante of Porn Valley Observed to get the dirt from him. Turns out he interviewed her a couple of weeks ago in this oddly charming video interview titled "There Will Be Blood".

When we asked him if it was for real, he said:

"Well, that's the story. I did an extensive interview with her and she seems to have the story down, even if there are ghosts from her past who say she didn't actually lose her virginity to Mr. Stone."

In his blog post, Gram wrote of their interview:

"...it was still hard to grasp that Murphy had been a stripper in Plano before entering the porn world and she still was a virgin. It stretches credulity."

Well, she says she was only a stripper for two weeks, gave her ex-boyfriend 'an occasional blowjob' on special occasions, and followed her mother's advice 'not to be the girl in the back seat.' That's what I learned from my mother, too: "Save yourself for that special porn gig."

Mallory, 18, told AVN:

“Financially, it was the smartest thing for me to do,” she said. “I felt more in control of the situation than a normal girl would losing it in the backseat after prom. I called the shots. It was a great experience.[...]I was a freaking a legal assistant and not making enough money and was on my own and my friend came to me with the idea. He had ties to the industry and eventually flew me out here.”

Since then, Mallory's shot 32 more porn films, but says she's only had off-screen sex with her boyfriend (with whom I think she's just broken up)

The truth is, I don't know if it's for real. But I am endlessly fascinated by why this is something people want to watch. We're hoping Mallory will be answering this and other questions in an upcoming post. Stay tuned!
