On July 14, Paradigm Shift, New York City's Feminist Community, is hosting a lecture and discussion with Dr. Michael Kimmel, author of Guyland: The Perilous World Where Boys Become Men. Kimmel literally wrote the encyclopedia on masculinity, so we trust that he'll have some interesting things to say about the young American male demographic that is "obsessed with never wanting to grow up" and "craves video games, sports, and depersonalized sexual relationships." The discussion will be moderated by one of our favorite feminist organizers/sex educators/ documentary subjects, Shelby Knox (she will also be featured in our upcoming film How to Lose Your Virginity).
